Achievements

Mission Success:

One of my all-time most rewarding success stories at work is the project I lead at SRVS to coordinate a flash mob to surprise one of our major donors, Carnival Memphis.  After many weeks of practice, the cast of "Footloose" from Playhouse on the Square and the Carnival princesses joined the individuals in SRVS' Day Center and Workshop to launch the flash mob seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bs5QHx_TK1Q  While this video did not "go viral", the happiness and fun experienced by our donors and our service recipients was PRICELESS.

Fundraising Success:

Sheila Ferguson has led the fundraising effort for many nonprofit organizations.  However, she is most proud of her role as the key staff person guiding volunteers and executive leadership in the following two major capital campaigns:

* Pikes Peak Library District's 1905 Carnegie Library Restoration Campaign that secured $3.5 million between 1999 and 2002
* SRVS' Building Dreams Campaign to expand services to hundreds of people with disabilities in Memphis that secured $5.5 million between 2009 and 2011

Marketing Success:

Sheila Ferguson was the Producer and leader of the team at the Pikes Peak Library District that won the local Pikes Peak Advertising Federation's Silver Addy for one of it's commercials produced in a series used in the library's re-branding effort in 2002.  Here is the award winning Pepsi/PPLD commercial: http://vimeo.com/28202572

The re-branding effort included the creation of a new logo for Pikes Peak Library District, as well as a series of television commercials, print advertising and outdoor media.  See the additional commercials at:
